Help Us Answer the Call: Missions Trip to Cambodia

In 2024, Phil felt a deep calling to go on a missions trip with our pastor and a team of 6 individuals from Grace Family Church to ICF Cambodia. He was forever changed. Soon after he returned (September 2024), we attended a Missionary Conference in Jacksonville, FL, and deeply resonated with John Piper's challenge of the Great Commission: our choice is to “Go, Send, or Disobey.” The Holy Spirit’s desire for us to “go” had become undeniable.

We are excited to share that we have been given another incredible opportunity to partner with ICF in Cambodia. The purpose of this trip is to equip and prepare us to lead teams from our church over the next few years as Phil finishes seminary. The 13-day trip will take a total of 68 hours of travel, leaving 10 days to serve with the team at ICF, minister to their community, and plot the needs of our future trip in December 2025.

ICF Cambodia is doing amazing work with a mission to “Empower Cambodia”! They minister holistically to over 1,200 children that live in extreme poverty. Cambodia is still reeling from the effects of genocide in the 1970s. Because of this trauma, most of the population of Cambodia does not value education and some fear it still. This very sad lie has left thousands of Cambodians unskilled, subject to poverty, and lacking hope. Every week, ICF cares for the people through education, meals, clean water, social workers, health and life skills, and most importantly, access to the Gospel and church community. Through their efforts, many children who would otherwise have no hope are being given a chance for a brighter future.

We are going to Cambodia to learn from and serve alongside this wonderful organization. Our efforts are focused on becoming equipped to lead future mission teams that will help support the incredible work already being done.

However, we can't do this without your support. We are asking for your prayers, encouragement, and financial assistance to make this trip possible. The funds will go towards airfare, accommodations, travel expenses, and any supplies needed for the trip.
