Hi! I'm Rabbanit Tali Schaum Broder.
I am a board-certified chaplain in both the United States and in Israel.
I worked in one of the major medical centers in NYC at the height of the Covid pandemic. I witnessed firsthand the meaningful and powerful role we, as chaplains, played in the lives of our patients and their families, accompanying them through their grief and despair, letting them know they were not alone, and most of all, affirming their dignity and their tzelem Elokim.
This work is my passion.
Currently in Israel, there are very few spiritual care positions, and most of these in hospitals and other settings are being funded by outside sources. There are around 36 chaplains working in hospital settings, serving the entire country. There is such a deep need for this work!!
I have the opportunity now to partner with a non-profit organization, Haverut, that is in the forefront of chaplaincy and spiritual care in Israel. There is a position that is open and ready for me at a major Jerusalem hospital. However, it does not currently have funding.
Please join me in this effort and add your donation to this cause. Together, we can make a major change in the spiritual care world in Israel.
Thank you!!
Wishing you and your loved ones a year of sweetness, of blessings, of health, of connection, and of peace.
