We strongly believe in photography as a tool for personal and social transformation.

THE PROJECT IN MOROCCO WITH SINGLE MOTHER

Every participants will have their own compact camera and receive instructions on basic photographic concepts. We will facilitate guided sharing exercises on the concept of “mother,” allowing women to think creatively about what this idea means to them and how it might be represented through images.
The women discuss their experiences and express their stories, feelings and messages through photography. 


The project will consist of a two-month’s workshop where we will facilitate the course.

The first month will be focus on basic photographic technique instruction and the second will allow the participants to work  to develop a narrative around the proposal theme. 
The workshop  will ends with a local exhibition to celebrate the finished works .

The photographic exhibition will be also be display in different location such as 
Barcelona and Switzerland.


WHY SINGLE MOTHER  IN MOROCCO?

Being a single parent is not easy. However, in a country like Morocco, this task is even more difficult.
Family rejection and social marginalization of single mother are added to the potential problems that these women may have to further complicate their lives and  the process of developing their young infants.

This project want to give this mother the voice to show their reality, their life and issues.
It is a way to give her the tools to express themselves and share their reality and this situation in Morocco.


We need financial collaboration to cover budget costs and we are open to any forms of material collaborations and direct support

You can be part of this initiative by fully sponsoring one (1) woman or donating an amount of your choosing. We greatly appreciate any donations.

Below is the expected list of expenses to be incurred per one participant. 

Materials for the workshop: 30 Euro
Compact camera and SD card: 150 Euro
Prints for exhibition (at least 6 pictures): 120 Euro

Total per participant: 300 Euro

We would like to have a minimum number of 4 women and a maximum of 7.

Other amount of money will go for:

- Logistic cost for the realization of the workshop for two facilitators:
  flight, accommodation during the two months in Morocco
  1.500 Euro
 
- Production of the exposition:
  frames and technical materials, promotional materials, aperitif, extras.  
  300 Euro

Total: 3900 Euro
