Hi I am Anosha/Rosa and am trying to help Ezekiel attend this Symposium in Venice in November from Kenya. I have known Zeke for 10 years now and he is a Conservationist with a huge heart. He has visited local schools in Kenya, teaching children about wildlife and conservation. He he been involved at Lake Bogoria, West Kenya for many years observing the Flamingoes. He has been invited by Catherine King, Chair
IUCN Flamingo Specialist Group and in his own words:
"I will Share first-hand findings from Lake Bogoria, one of the most critical flamingo habitats globally;
Engage with international experts and learn best practices for flamingo and wetland conservation;
Establish collaborations that can enhance ongoing conservation projects in Kenya’s Rift Valley;
Raise global awareness about the urgent challenges posed by flooding and climate change to East Africa’s flamingo populations;
This symposium represents both a personal milestone and a crucial platform to amplify the conservation needs of Lake Bogoria on the global stage."
I am helping him because I believe Conservation in these days of Climate Crisis is crucial for our Planet. As GoFundMe does not operate in Kenya, I have offered to set it up myself for him and can then transfer the money he needs thru Remitly. I am doing this as a friend and because I believe his work is vital. The funds raised will pay for travel, Visa, vaccinations, etc
Many of you may know I have used GoFundMe to help build a school for Maassai children in Tanzania, and also to drill a Well to help 24 Maasai people have access to clean water in their Boma. Both were successful.
If anyone needs I can email you a copy of the letter inviting him to the Symposium, you can contact me. So please do donate any amount you can and share with your friends. Africa needs support for their own Conservationists. Thank You
