We are Petra and Sirkku, two middle-aged Finnish women dedicated to helping stray cats during our travels to Paros.

The idea of "cat trips" was born during midsummer 2022, at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, in a hotel room. After careful planning, we embarked on our first mission to assist and care for the cats of Paros and Anti-Paros in March 2023.

Since then, we have been on this shared journey three times, with the fourth trip scheduled for April.

During these trips, our primary goal has been to spay and neuter as many cats as possible in collaboration with Animal Action Greece's sterilization program. Additionally, we aim to capture and provide treatment for sick or injured cats on Paros.

We have driven over 3,000 kilometers in total, feeding hundreds upon hundreds of cats. Along the way, we have dewormed more than 200 cats—using broad-spectrum deworming medication (Axilur) and various external parasite treatments. We've also treated about 30 cats with NexGard, taken nearly 30 cats for sterilization, and brought around ten others to veterinarians for medical care.

A few lucky cats have found homes through our efforts, and we have assisted with arranging flights to bring them to their new families.

It has been a great honor to support the Paros Cats organization by caring for the cats at their headquarters and contributing to their work in every way we can.

We have raised funds and used every cent—and more—on the cats' welfare: food, litter, cleaning supplies, medications, and more.
