Greg, or Par as you may know him, has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Par worked for the school districts as a beloved school bus driver for many years. His wife Sandy, who carried their medical insurance, recently lost her job at Arc'sValue Village, due to the store closing; with that, she lost their medical insurance.
For some time Par wasn't feeling good, and being the stubborn man that we all know and love, he finally agreed to go to the doctor to see what was going on. At first the doctors couldn't explain was was wrong. They had their theories, but couldn't pin point anything. Then it happened...he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. There are many scary medical terms I could describe to you, but the cliff notes version, is that he has an aggressive form of colon cancer that has spread to the liver, lymph nodes, and spine.
Through aggressive treatments, the doctor's will try to shrink the cancer down; thereby prolonging his life and also preserving the quality of his life. This illness will most likely not be curable, and Par will not be able to return to work. Sandy has now found part time work, but is still not eligible for benefits.
The purpose of this go fund me page is to assist Par and Sandy with the accumulating expenses it will take for Par's treatments and allow them the best that life can offer during this difficult time. Par has a bucket list of simple things that would give him pleasure and make the time he has left enjoyable for him and his family.
If you feel so inclined, please feel free to write a note, or donate. Thank you for reading Par and Sandy's story. We hope that it touches your heart.
