Parkside Garden Picnic Tables for Jennifer

Jen Lazo - who lost her courageous, spirited, inspiring battle with cancer in May 2019, was many things. She was an amazing daughter, wife, friend and mother. So much fun to be around, she was awesome to volunteer with at her daughters' school. Jen began helping with the garden tastings as soon as her oldest daughter started kindergarten at Parkside. She loved healthy eating, and especially loved doing what she could to encourage kids to eat more vegetables, including dressing up in a super hero costume to show them that vegetables make us strong like superheroes! She had a passion for nutrition for all, and anyone that encountered her knows that she was also very social. Which is why the Parkside community is purchasing sturdy, long-lasting and beautiful picnic tables with benches for the school garden, in her honor  and for her beautiful Pandas – Eden (4th grade) and Monica (1st grade).
