Parks & Boone the Autism Service Dog: Building a Calm Future
Donation protected
Meet Parks: A brave, resilient little boy facing big challenges. He has life-threatening food allergies, a rare digestive disease, and was recently diagnosed with autism and PANDAS - a complex autoimmune condition. Through it all, Parks has shown incredible strength, but he needs extra support to navigate daily life.
We've discovered something amazing: animals have a unique ability to calm Parks and help him feel safe. When he's with them, his whole world becomes more manageable. That's why we're thrilled to have found Boone, a gentle lab/retriever rescue who formed an instant bond with Parks.
Boone has the potential to become Parks' autism service dog, providing crucial support during activities like shopping, hiking, and classes - things that can be overwhelming for Parks. With proper training, Boone could help Parks cope with sensory challenges and give him the confidence to explore the world.
The challenge? Service dog training costs $6,295, plus Boone's adoption fee of $395. While we're actively pursuing grants, many programs have age restrictions or limited application windows that make them inaccessible for Parks.
Your donation, no matter the size, will help give Parks the companion he needs to thrive. Together, we can help this brave little boy take on life's challenges with a faithful friend by his side.
