We run residential retreats in the Italian countryside for people living with the neurological condition Parkinson’s Disease. The retreats, located in Umbria in central Italy, are specifically designed to provide physical and emotional relief by enabling deep relaxation, reflection time and by creating a sense of community.
Featuring a range of proposed activities to relax the body and promote healthy living (such as yoga, meditation, tai chi, sound baths, painting, singing and dance classes), the retreats offer a holistic experience that seeks to support the body, calm the mind and bring ease and inspiration to everyday routines and symptom management.
In addition to the curated activities, we aim to create a supportive environment and a sense of community, where people can come together, to decompress and rest, share best practices and experiences, and make new connections and friends.
The retreats are run and organised on a ‘not for profit’ basis, with the cost of the retreat designed to cover the basic costs of running the event, with the accommodation provided at no cost.
The aim of this fundraise is to fund an assisted place scheme at each retreat, for people who couldn’t otherwise afford to participate, and/or to generally subsidise the events to keep their costs as low as possible.
Thank you for your support.
