Parkinson Plus (Multiple System Atrophy)

Hello, my name is Raul Garcia and I am a father of four. One year ago I went through multiple back surgeries that put my body in a state of weakness which accelerated the progression of my Parkinson-plus syndrome known as Multiple System Atrophy.  I slowly lost my ability to walk in the last year. Going from being able to walk alone, to unable to support myself with a walker. Along with this, my speech is also being affected. I would like to think I am still considered a general contractor but with this disease it has nearly made it impossible to continue running my business. I have an amazing wife that is by my side that assists me to the best of her ability and my four kids who are in college that help me as much as possible.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson Plus with probable Multiple System Atrophy with an average life span of 8 years after onset of symptoms. If correct, I most likely have 4 years to live if I continue untreated and the only treatment that exists right now are mesenchymal stem cells and a drug created by Biohaven Pharmaceuticals called Verdiperstat that is currently in Phase 3 clinical trials which has shown to slow the degeneration of the brain in animal models. I am currently in the process of applying for this drug through Compassionate Use/ Expanded Use. Thank you for your time, may it gain me some.
