Parker’s Warriors

This GoFundMe has been put on by close friends of Biz and Preston: Sarah Somers, Laurel Cheng, Tanya Carr and Erin Siksay.

Parker Scott, Elizabeth (Biz) McGregor, and Preston Scott are a family that has been thrust into the middle of an unimaginable situation. Parker, Biz’s and Preston’s 7-year-old son has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).

This type of tumor is highly aggressive. Due to the tumor's location - in an area of the brainstem called the pons - it is inoperable. 

Treatment options are limited to radiation therapy.  However, there are clinical trials available, and some have even proven success in prolonging life for up to an additional year.

Parker’s situation, like all other children that have or have had DIPG, is considered incurable. The goal is to prolong his life for as long as possible.

Anyone who knows Parker knows what a bright, sunny, and playful child he is. He is loving and affectionate, with a sweet smile and mischievous streak that captivates everyone’s heart. He is curious and thoughtful and never fails to put a smile on your face.

Parker has been admitted to Sick Kids’ Hospital in Toronto for radiation treatment. His parents, Preston and Biz, will remain at his side for the duration of his treatment.

• Any donations for gas money or food money as the family travels to and from Toronto and stays in Toronto for treatment

Any donation, no matter the size, is appreciated. One hundred percent of the funds from this fundraiser will be used by Parker’s family to ease the burden of travel, meals, and other miscellaneous expenses associated with Parker’s diagnosis.
