As anti-trans legislation grows in the US, healthcare becomes more expensive and less accessible, and the control that folks assigned female at birth have over their own bodies is being challenged daily, I've decided it is time to make good on the promise I made myself almost a decade ago, that as an adult I will claim the body I deserve through Top Surgery. Luckily, I have insurance and once the operation is confirmed to be a medical necessity, I will only be responsible for my Deductible and Coinsurance, which total $2,800. The goal of this fundraiser is $3,300 total, the remaining of which will go towards transportation to my consultation/following appointments and supporting myself while I cannot work and will be healing for 6-8 weeks.
