Parker's Spinal Cord Injury Recovery
Donation protected
Parker went snowboarding on a Sunday on 2/4. As he hit a jump, he accidentally flipped backwards causing him to land hard on his spine. This snapped his spine in half at the T9 level. His injury is a complete ASIA-A injury level and his family and friends are all praying for a good recovery.
After being flown by helicopter to the nearest hospital, they performed emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his spinal cord. This caused some lower abdominal sensation and strength to come back. Although his injury is complete, Parker has been recovering well so far, and has gotten back sensation in his lower back and hip areas.
Average first year expenses for a Spinal Cord Injury are estimated to be $500,000 and upwards of $2 million across a lifetime. Funds raised will be directly used for Parker's ongoing medical expenses, physical therapy and rehab, necessary equipment (i.e. wheelchair, hoist, electric bed, and other in-home aids), home, and vehicle modifications.
If you are unable to donate, please pray for him and send this page to others. Thank you so much.
