The life of 8 year old Parker Simpson and those close to him was turned upside down last January when he was diagnosed with Anterior Mediastinal T-Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. For the past 10 months Parker was receiving chemo treatments out of the Kingston General Hospital, which resulted in him missing a lot of school and missing out on everyday kid things. His mom, Sarah, also went on leave from her job to be by his side. Just when they thought he was in the clear they were given the news that the cancer had returned and that Parker needed to be transported to Toronto immediately so he could be treated at Sick Kids Hospital. His parents and sister have now moved into the Ronald McDonald house and will be staying there anywhere from 6 months to a year while he undergoes experimental chemo in hopes of eventually receiving a bone marrow transplant.
Our hope is to raise enough money to help alleviate some of the financial stress of everyday bills and allow them to focus on Parker.
