Parker Peterson's Pathway to Healing

Hello everyone, this is Derrick and Heather Peterson, the proud parents of our wonderful sweet boy Parker Peterson. Parker is one of the most kind hearted, unselfish children you will ever meet. He loves going to school and spending time with his 3 sisters, who he loves so much. He is also a lover of all things spiderman and minecraft. His smile and positive attitude lights up a room everywhere he goes.

Parker has had many obstacles with his health over the years and we unfortunately recently found out that the Meningioma he was living with that wasn't suppose to grow or cause issues has grown 3 times it's size in less than a year. He had been dealing with severe headaches, severe dizziness, vomiting, and muscle weakness. So he is having a craniotomy to have the tumor removed in Fargo as i write this today . The tumor is going to be taken out and send to a lab to check for cancer. Parker will have a long and difficult recovery as well with close follow up to watch for regrowth as well as new tumors, so please be thinking of him.

We also are awaiting genetic test results to see if Neurofibromatosis is the reason for many of his issues he's been having. On top of the tumor, he is dealing with a spinal lipoma which may require surgery in the future and chiari malformation, where the brain tissue extends into the spinal column. He also has a rare condition called basilar invagination. So needless to say we have to see many specialists all over the state of North Dakota and multiple trips to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Heather and I are not the type of people to ask for help with money or anything else for that matter, but we are at a point where we have no other options and need some assistance. We want Parker to get the best medical treatment possible so he can have a long healthy life. We thank everyone who has been praying for our sweet boy!
