Hello, my name is Steve, and I’m raising funds to improve a busy pathway in the heart of the Levenshulme / Rushford Park community.

Network Rail is currently considering letting the local community paint a mural to brighten the tunnel under the train line on Park Grove — but unfortunately, the footpath leading through it remains in terrible condition. As this is an unadopted road, neither the council nor Network Rail is responsible for its upkeep, even though many people rely on it every day.

In winter, the route becomes heavily waterlogged and covered in mud, making it unpleasant and sometimes unsafe to use. Although a few paving flags were added several years ago, they only provide limited help.

Local residents have shown great support for improving the path, and together we hope to fund the delivery and installation of several tonnes of gravel to create a safer, more accessible walkway.
