Paris Smith Recovery & Support

Our neighbor and dear friend, Paris Smith, was involved in a terrible accident on March 31st in which a tree fell on him while he was at work building a fence for someone. He was rushed to the hospital and was told his spine was fractured, his left shoulder blade crushed, he had internal bleeding, and fractured ribs. The doctors have informed Paris he will be permanently paralyzed from his chest down.

Paris is a husband and a father of four, including an infant son. With these current circumstances, the Smith family will need as much support as possible as Paris will not be home for at least another 1.5 months due to rehabilitation. We foresee ongoing medical fees, potential legal fees, and struggles with things most of us take for granted - such as rent, food, gas, etc. Currently Madison is the only reliable parent taking care of the household and kids.

On April 2nd, Paris is underwent spinal surgery at Ascension Sacred Heart to preserve what parts of his spine they were able to. Following his stay in the hospital, he is expected to require ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and physical therapy.
