Community can be thought of as a sense of support from a group of people who are welcoming and supportive. When you think of the Cortlandt community one family that immediately comes to mind is the Paribello Family. Tony and Cindy have raised 5 children in our community and have crossed many of our paths during this time. Whether you ran into them at church, picking your kids up from a pool/wiffle ball party they hosted, lacrosse game or at a school event they always have a kind word and a big smile. They are invariably one of the first families to reach out to others who are in need of support.
As most of you know, Tony has been battling cancer. He was diagnosed with lung cancer and it has metastasized to the brain. Although he is still undergoing treatment, Tony is doing well. At his last checkup everything had shrunk in his brain and chest. His blood work came out PERFECT! He isn't in pain and is off almost all meds. So the Paribello Family is grateful! Although Tony has been off from work since September he is hoping to get back to work in a month or so.
