We have been invited to attend the Democratic National Committee Convention (DNCC) in Chicago this August - you know that formal event where all delegates convene to nominate the Democratic presidential candidate! This is the first year that the DNCC has ever given press credentials to digital creators. It's a BFD! However, @GEMMA_Talks is self-funded - we run our social media advocacy and education accounts for free - and need some financial support for airfare, hotel, and meals to get to Chicago. Any amount you are able to donate directly goes to help fund our goal of bringing you the insider details and critical information you might need to make an informed voting decision. We're going to take this opportunity to ask candidates critical questions about how they intend to protect our rights, and we invite you to join us in that!

We're Pari and Eve: Creators. Communicators. Changemakers. With advanced public health degrees and over a decade of career experience each in global reproductive rights, we banded together in the wake of the Dobbs decision to create an online educational pro-choice, pro-woman community on Instagram and TikTok . Our @GEMMA_Talks account serves as a source of evidence-based information about sexual and reproductive health that demonstrates how such health issues directly intersect with almost every social justice issue you can think of and why our health rights need protecting.
Over the last two years, we have advocated and educated on issues of gender and freedoms, highlighting - for our now 150,000 total followers - the key issues currently at stake for #WomenInAmerica.
In an effort to combat the deluge of misinformation permeating social media this election season, we are on a mission to educate voters, ahead of November, on key issues that pose an imminent threat to our freedom and our democracy. Part of our ability to provide this information hinges on securing behind-the-scenes access to such decision making processes. This is why we need to get to the DNCC - and with your help, we can!
