Parents' Council MSIPS&N

The Parent Councils’ primary role is to advance the education of Mill Strand pupils. We achieve this through organising events and volunteering our time and resources, with a particular focus on fundraising to help deliver improvement projects.

We rely on a range of activities to raise these vital funds: school discos, for example. While the restrictions of Covid-19 mean we can’t organise such events this year, the school still has a number of urgent needs.

There are currently four classes in Mill Strand that have old and failing Interactive White Boards. These are an essential teaching and learning tool that provide a multitude of opportunities and benefits for children. Unfortunately, the school’s budget can’t cover the cost of replacing these assets, so the Parents’ Council has been asked to raise money towards this goal. The cost is £11,000.
