Parents suffered devastating damage due to Ida

Hi my name is Brooke and I am trying to raise money to help my parents who went through a devastating loss due to flooding from Hurricane Ida. They have lived in this house for the past 40 years and they lost so many irreplaceable things. Although, we will never be able to replace those things we want to help them clean up, restore, and replace the things we are able to. They were hoping to get financial support through their insurance company, however the amount they are entitled to under their flood coverage is minimal and doesn’t come close to covering the extensive damage they’ve endured. They lost all of their furniture, the water heater, all of their major appliances such as the washer, dryer, and refrigerator, and will also need a new carpet. In addition, the walls sustained structural damages and the electrical outlets will all need to be replaced. All of this will cost them so much and this is money they do not have. My parents are two of the most amazing people you could ever meet. Throughout mine and my siblings’ lives they have been there for us no matter what happened. They would give us the shirt off their backs and to know that we can’t help them during their most needed time is heartbreaking. Please help us help our parents restore our childhood home. Anything you could give means so much to us and we truly appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.
