Hello, Colleen and I, Kylie, are great friends to Elizabeth and Jason. We are reaching out to gain some financial help during this difficult time for them.

Over the weekend, Hattie (their 1-year-old daughter) was burnt severely by a freak accident which has caused second and third-degree burns on her face and has placed her in the ICU at Nationwide Children's Hospital. At this time, Hattie has been placed on sedation with a breathing and feeding tube to help keep her comfortable through the pain she may be experiencing. Over the last 48 hours, there have been multiple times that Hattie has been taken back for examination and to watch the swelling on her face. With the severity of the burns, she is having to remain sedated to assure that the burns can be properly cleaned, and her eyes can be monitored as well. There is no timeline of when they will be able to go home as there are additional issues arising as she has been admitted as well. Her airway is swollen as well as some wheezing occurring from a sickness she was fighting prior to this.

With Elizabeth and Jason's approval, we are asking for help to take a little stress off their shoulders for gas, food, and bills while Elizabeth is not returning to work during this period of recovery for Hattie. At this time, since she is newly employed with her current occupation, she does not qualify for FMLA/Short Term Disability. Jason will be the only income that they will have to keep providing for the family of 4.
