My Dad will be headed to Sutter Hospital in Sacramento for one month for an LVAD heart pump installation and retraining his life after surgery. Without the surgery he has been given about 12 months to live. My mom will be required to hotel herself next to hospital the first two weeks after surgery. If all goes well after two weeks with my dad in hospital he will then move to hotel with my mom for another two weeks for close op. They will be required to cover those costs and food, among other daily living needs for the whole month. We will be seeking any other assistance possible for these types of situations.
