HorizonsK-8 Outdoor Learning Campaign (Parent-led)

We are a small committee of parents of Horizons K-8 students in Boulder, Colorado, who are trying to create the safest back-to-school plan for our kids and staff. The school and teachers have been excited and relieved to offer as much of our in-person learning outdoors!
To make this happen, we need to purchase 19 large tents equipped with roll-down walls for wind, rain, and snow, as well as collapsible furniture. The school helped get the orders placed, but we need to raise the majority of funds. The tents will first be used for grades K-2, and will then be filled with the remaining grades as they return (hopefully soon!). We see this as an investment for the long-term, through the pandemic and even beyond. The school already has ideas of how to incorporate outdoor learning into every day school life in the years to come!
Our goal is to raise $158K by October 20th. If we don't raise the funds in time, we risk being partly indoors and impacting the number of teachers that feel comfortable with in-person learning. We know this deadline is right around the corner and not everyone can contribute the same amount, so we are humbly asking you to give as much as possible.
