Benny Paredes is a devoted and wonderful husband, father, grandfather (“pa”), brother, son, uncle, and friend. When he is not spending time with his family, he works hard as a self-employed plumber, and enjoys golfing, watching NFL football, and watching his grandsons play baseball. Everyone would agree Benny is the funniest, kindest, most supportive, and Godly man. He has dedicated his life to helping others in their time of need with his generous heart and pocket. 

Benny has been recently diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma in the frontal lobes of his brain. Sadly, the cancer is inoperable at this time. His medical team and family have decided to attempt chemotherapy as treatment, beginning soon.  As most know, cancer treatment is incredibly draining, frustrating, at times, hopeless, and expensive. Initial out-of-pocket costs are already estimated at around $10,000, an amount that will probably grow with time. Everyone is praying for a miracle that treatment works, but even still, the financial hardship will be ongoing.

As mentioned, Benny is self-employed and moving forward, he will not be able to resume work. His loving wife, Debbie, is also self-employed and her income will be their only resource while she trys to navigate this most difficult time in their lives; Tending to housework, paying bills, working, and caring for her husband simultaneously will be a daunting and near impossible task. When a family is already enduring so much emotional trauma in the long process of diagnosis and treatment, the last thing they want to think about is how they are going to pay the steep medical bills afterward. 

This GoFundMe is being established by extended family members to help support Benny and Debbie through their difficult journey.
