My accident was May 22nd, 2016. I haven’t been able to drive since then, other than driving school with hand controls. I have certain specs I need to drive, especially in NE Ohio. Sedans don’t make sense because of our weather half the year. This allows me to drive in any climate and not have to break my wheelchair down.
I in no way expect to hit $5000, but every bit will help towards building a life back for me. It’s unbelievable how expensive adaptable vans are. I have the state’s help, but my cost is still at $40,820. That’s just unfair for people trying to put their life back together. I now have a new career, am getting my Masters, and it’s time for me to be able to drive myself places, besides my parents. Unfortunately no matter if you have insurance, this type of accident makes it very difficult to build yourself back up. I truly, truly hate asking for money, but any help someone might be able to give would be amazingly helpful.
Thank you to everyone who can help and who read this. It’s been a long, long journey and wish everyone the best of wishes/vibes/love & prayers!!!
I will also be doing a fundraiser this Fall on the morning of a Browns game, probably a walk/run, where all proceeds will go to Spinal Cord Injury Research. More details to come, but I’ll make postings when things are established.
Thank you again to everyone and God Bless!!!
Love,
Tony
