Hey everyone,
My name is George, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my dear friend Ash and his family as he begins a long and difficult road to recovery.
On October 22nd, Ash suffered a sudden cardiac arrest that lasted for approximately six minutes. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the paramedics and firefighters on scene, his heart started beating again. He was rushed to Cornwall Community Hospital and later transferred to the Ottawa Heart Institute, where he continues to receive care.
Ash is only 26 years old. He’s a dedicated Paramedic serving the Cornwall SDG community and also the Executive Director of the international non-profit CPIP (Community Paramedic Integration Project)—an organization focused on helping others through compassion, service, and innovation. It’s who he is at his core: someone who gives everything to others without hesitation.
Now, it’s our turn to give back to him.
While Ash fights to heal, he’s unable to work and, as a part-time employee, will not be receiving a paycheck. He is the main provider for his family, who are now facing increased travel costs, bills, and day-to-day expenses during this unimaginable time.
Every donation—no matter how small—will go directly toward helping Ash and his family cover their monthly expenses and ease the financial burden while he recovers. Your generosity will allow them to focus on what truly matters: Ash’s recovery and their time together as a family.
Our paramedics are there for us when we need them most. This is our chance to show Ash that his community stands behind him just as strongly. Let’s rally together and help one of our own get back on his feet.
