Paramedic needs help with medical bills

Donation protected
Today we are here to back a paramedic who has been a staple of pre-hospital medical care, both as a provider and as an instructor, in Westchester. Matt Cataldo has positively impacted so many in this county in a career that has spanned over two decades. He works as a Paramedic for Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps. As much as Matt loves working the road and treating patients, he has become a Paramedic Instructor and Clinical Coordinator at Westchester Community College. At WCC, he educates and prepares future paramedics for deployment into the community to assist those in need of help. While Matt's career has been one of service and education of others, he now needs our help. On Monday, July 25th, Matt suffered a stroke. He received his care at Westchester Medical Center, where he remained for a week. Many CAT scans and an MRI later, his physicians cleared him for discharge, and Matt was able to rejoin his family and dogs back at home. With extensive rehab on the horizon, while being unable to drive, unable to work as a paramedic in the field, and already having to use sick time for work at the college, the medical bills will be a financial hardship. Matt can use our help now to ease this burden as he fights to make it back to the front lines on the ambulance and back to the front of his classroom to guide his students into the future.
