Paramedic Carlos Lizarraga Fundraiser
"Hello everyone, on Apr 30th Carlos Lizarraga was diagnosed with AML. Acute Myeloid Leukemia is a type of Leukemia that affects the bone marrow. Carlos is currently hospitalized at Scripps La Jolla for chemotherapy.
Carlos is our Friend, coworker and EMS Brother. He started his career as an EMT 4 years ago and was serving the Imperial County as Paramedic with AMR prior to his diagnosis. Carlos is an active member of the UEMSW Chapter 10 union touching the lives of all around him through his infectious smile, positivity, and compassion. When not serving his community Carlos is a Father to two sons and a new born girl. He also loves to Make BBQ for his friends and family, he occasionally shows off his grill master abilities in local competitions
We are organizing this campaign to assist with the medical expenses that this unexpected diagnosis might bring upon him and his family. We are asking the community to come to gather to help Carlos in his time of need just as he has selflessly help others as a first responder.
