Katy Paramedic hospitalized with COVID-19

Donation protected

We are raising money to help a dedicated paramedic with the costs involved in battling COVID-19.

Gordon has worked in EMS for almost thirty years, serving his community and helping others in Katy, Texas.

Gordon is a hard working, warm, kind and generous man.

Sadly, despite taking all precautions, Gordon contracted COVID-19 in October 2020. After trying to recover at home, Gordon was admitted to hospital as his symptoms increased. Gordon spent two weeks fighting the virus in the hospital before the medical team decided he needed to be sedated, intubated and placed on a ventilator last week.

On Sunday November 8th Gordon was moved to hospital in the Texas Medical Center in Houston where he can receive care as part of new clinical trials to fight COVID-19..

Gordon is a strong and independent person and has given his all to fight this virus. We know Gordon won’t ask for help as he is usually the one helping others, but given how long Gordon has been sick and how long his recovery may take, we know there will be significant medical bills and there will be a significant drop in income.

All donations will go to medical expenses and to cover costs from being away from work for so long. We hope these funds will take some of the pressure from Gordon and his family and allow Gordon to take the time he needs to focus on his recovery.

Thank you
