Hi, my name is Chef Jason. As you may know, I was paralyzed a couple years ago and lost everything. I recently started this small catering and pop up business after spending the last couple years recovering and learning how to walk and live life again.

My dream is to start a restaurant here in Oakland, and to provide the very best barbecue experience in The Bay. I found a nice little spot downtown that is willing to give me a chance. Now I need the help of the community. I've been serving the Bay Area for just over 6 months with locally sourced, sustainable foods, and I dream of expanding to be able to serve more of you.

Physical recovery wasn't easy, and the financial impact just about ruined me altogether, especially after having my truck and most of my catering equipment stolen, but you all encouraged me to keep at it.

Now I am humbly asking for your help to realize my dream by helping me to get the startup money I need to get this business off the ground, and into a physical location. The money from this campaign will be used for the physical rent on the building, liability insurance, replacing some of my catering equipment and food costs for the first 6 months.
