My name is Kristine. My family and I are desperately looking to raise $9,000 in the next 3 days to save our 4-year-old Malti-Poo dog, Zeke. We woke up this morning to find Zeke essentially paralyzed from the waist down, not using his hind legs, moving his tail, or even urinating on his own. After a long morning in the Vet ER, we drained our savings account and other 3rd party options to find the root cause of his condition and get him pain medications.

We soon learned that Zeke has IVDD, with narrowing of his C4-5, C5-6, and C6-7 intervertebral disc spaces. There have been 2 options presented to us with his severe case:

1) We monitor him for the next 24-72 hours and hope for a miracle to happen. If nothing improves, his pain will begin to travel up his spine, and he will quickly lose his ability to use his front legs and breathe on his own, leading to him being euthanized.

2) We get money together for him to receive immediate surgery with a neurologist.

After calling multiple locations for prices and possibilities, we are finding ourselves with our hands tied. We are hoping to raise $9,000 by Memorial Day in order to bring Zeke to the Texas A&M emergency animal hospital and get the service done as soon as possible and keep our beloved fur-baby around for a beautiful long life.
