UPDATE - April 15, 2026: Yuni had to be taken to an emergency animal hospital. She could not wait any longer for care. My friend is now dealing with the cost out of pocket before the GoFundMe reached its goal and they simply cannot afford it.

Meet Yuni, a 1-year-old dog who was rescued off the street and given a chance at a better life by a caring brother and sister in Manilla, Philippines.

At first, everything seemed okay. But after a few months, Yuni started to decline. She slowly began losing the ability to walk. The owner that rescued Yuni brought her to a veterinarian, hoping for answers and treatment, but her condition was never clearly diagnosed.

Despite trying medications and care, Yuni did not improve. Instead, her condition continued to worsen.

Today, Yuni can no longer walk and can only lie on her side. She has lost control of her bladder and needs to wear diapers. Because she is unable to move, she is also developing sores on her body from prolonged pressure.

And now, her condition is progressing even further, affecting her neck stability.

Despite everything her body is going through, Yuni’s spirit is still strong. She still wags her tail, holds onto her toys, and looks at you with bright, trusting eyes. She is still present. She is still fighting.

Her owner loves her deeply and has tried to help her, but has reached a point where they can no longer afford the medical care Yuni urgently needs.

We are raising $1,500 CAD to cover the surrender fee and initial medical care at an animal hospital in Manila, Philippines, where Yuni can finally receive proper assessment and treatment.

At the hospital, Yuni will receive:
