Paralyzed But Not Defeated: Join Us In Supporting Jim Cash
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
This is Kelly, Jim’s oldest daughter. Marcella, his youngest daughter and I are reaching out to ask for your support.
As many of you may know, our dad, Jim, suffered serious injuries from a fall on September 6, 2024. He was found unable to move, on the floor, and rushed to the hospital. The severity of the fall resulted in breaking his neck and injuring his c3-c6 vertebrae leaving him paralyzed. By Saturday morning, he had an emergency spinal decompression and laminectomy procedure to remove pressure on the spinal cord. At this point the extent of the damage is unclear. Currently, he is still paralyzed and will be in an acute rehab facility for several weeks followed by a need for 24/7 home care.
Dad’s family and loved ones are supporting him from near and afar, but he will have a major financial burden after this due to his hospital bills, ongoing intensive therapy and the need for specialized handicap equipment.
Dad is vibrant, funny and a passionate person. He dedicated much of his life to powerlifting and has inspired countless individuals to push their limits and strive to be their best. He has broken multiple world records and competed against numerous powerlifting legends in his lifetime.
Whether you have heard his classic bad jokes or experienced his incredible stories, you know he has a remarkable spirit. If you don’t know him, trust us, he’s worth knowing.
If you are able to help, we would deeply appreciate any support whether through donations or sharing this message. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and as dad always says at the end of every workout, “NO EXCUSES EVER”.
With Gratitude,
Kelly & Marcella
