Paradise Stronger promotes fitness and wellness to aid in recovery as returning residents combat the stresses endured by the community in the early stages of rebuilding the town after the devastating CampFire of November 2018.
As the town of Paradise moves into the rebuild and recovery process...
Paradise Stronger exists to be an asset to the community by inspiring and empowering its residents to take control of their own health and well-being through wellness education programs, recovery services, fitness classes and partnerships with like-minded organizations.
All residents who were directly impacted by the Campfire will beneft from a full spectrum of wellness and fitness services as they rebuild their homes and their lives. Our services will impact the physical, mental and emotional needs of adults, teens and kids. We will collaborate with other health and wellness organizations in and around Paradise such as Adventist Health, Paradise Unified School District and Paradise Parks and Recreation Department, etc...
This capital funding campaign will provide the funds necessary for:
Initial Equipment Purchase: $75,000
Wellness and Fitness Services for Residents in Impacted Area: $25,000
Lease, Space Improvements and Utilites: $25,000
Our goal is to open a temporary space as our first phase in April 2020, we will begin by offering health education, community activities and fitness classes. We are determined to move into a larger space by mid summer of 2020 so that we can offer a full spectrum of wellness programs to this recovering community.
Our ultimate vision is to create a building that incorporates space for each of the elements necessary to inspire individual wellness; health education, fitness, recovery and community.
Paradise Stronger has recieved it's non-profit status with the State of California. Paradise Stronger has applied for it's 501(c)3 and is awaiting it's Federal non-profit status. As a non profit we would be able to retroactively offer tax deductible donation.

Update from our Fundraiser: "Paradise Strong" January 2019
In January 2019 CrossFit boxes, fitness centers and countless individuals gathered together to raise seed money to open a new CrossFit box in Paradise. The community went above and beyond to surround us with encouragement and support; their efforts created over $2,000 dollars. We invested that money into new exercise equipment:
2 Concept Rowers
2 Assault Bikes
This equipment has been extremely helpful as we held classes in Chico California. It has allowed many of us from Paradise to remain in community as we looked forward to our future in Paradise. Obvisouly, our vision to return to Paradise was bigger than we originally imagined. Our desire to deliver to our community something more than just a fitness program is being realized. I wanted to take a moment and thank all those who gave us hope, when hope seemed lost:
To the coaches and members of:
530 Strength and Conditioning (f.k.a. CrossFit Rack It)
Upper Park CrossFit
North Rim CrossFit
Level 10 CrossFit
Whole Body Fitness
I will continue to add to this list as more names and organizations come to mind.
Suffice it to say, our inspiration to create a place in Paradise for people to rebuild themselves and their lives came from each of you who helped us rebuild our spirit when all hope seemed lost.
