Paradise Schools: PE

My name is Sherry Caplinger and I am starting this GoFundMe Account to help the students of the Paradise Unified School District.  My sister, Kristy Mullen, teaches Physical Education (PE) at both Paradise High School and Paradise Intermediate School.  On November 8th, the Camp Fire destroyed the Paradise community.  Over 80% of the students in the town lost their homes.  Some schools were burned completely and others damaged.

Kristy continues to teach PE.   She splits her time between her Intermediate School, which is now located in an old OSH Hardware Store building in Chico, and with her High School students who travel each week to Durham and Oroville to teach PE to the Paradise Elementary children in grades K-5.  This GoFundMe is being set-up to help purchase equipment lost in the fire so the Intermediate and Elementary students can again have quality physical education where they can play, laugh and get a chance to have some normalcy in this difficult time. 

The funds will be used to purchase items such as balls, storage bags, carts, cones, portable nets, parachutes, jump ropes, hula-hoops, bean bags . . .   Any remaining money will also be used to support the needs of classroom teachers at Paradise Intermediate School.
