Judy Quick We are okay!!! Jesse and I finally found him in Oroville at the Motel 6. A kind lady got Kirsten's FB and messaged her with this photo so we knew where to find him. We were supposed to meet at Starbucks in Chico, but he could not get there. He has no cell phone and did not remember my number, hence the need to get to fb and message someone of his whereabouts. We are now in Redding at Jesse's, where we will be for the next 10 days. Kirsten is flying out tonight for Melbourne for a mission trip. She wanted to not go but really, we are fine and she should get on that plane. Yes, Bruce was lucky to be alive. The street he was on, trying to flee the fire, was bumper to bumper cars, some on fire, houses burning and trees burning. He had no choice but to drive through it. I think I would have had a heart attack, but he managed to drive that car down the ridge to Oroville. We will try to find out if the house is still standing, but I have my doubts. It is too massive a fire and the winds were swirling and fast. 28,000 people were evacuated, which is the whole town. The problem with Paradise is it is on a ridge with only one way out..had to go south. Will keep you posted on what is next. I left the car in the parking lot waiting for AAA to get there when they could to tow it and assess the damage. Love to all and pray for our town...
