*UPDATE*
It has been confirmed our house is gone.

I am raising money for my parents who have been displaced from the Camp Fire in our town of Paradise, California. We are still waiting to hear about our house. We are trying to stay positive but we believe we may have lost everything including our beautiful home. Our neighbors homes have been confirmed to be lost. The fire has taken 95% of our town; our grocery stores, schools, businesses are all gone. Rapidly taken away in less than a day!
My parents evacuated our house Thursday morning 11/8 only able to grab a few personal belongings and with the clothing on their backs. We are so lucky they were able to evacuate safely! Our whole town was given almost no warning to evacuate. Paradise is a forest community in the Sierra Nevada foothills with only a few roads out of town. It took my parents 5 hours to get out of Paradise to safety. My parents were separated while evacuating and were not allowed to pick up my 98 year old grandmother from her rest home. Thankfully, my grandmother was also evacuated and is safe now.
My parents moved to Paradise in the 80's and I grew up in Paradise in this beautiful home they designed and had built for us from scratch in 1992.
I have started this gofundme to help my parents while they are in limbo. We are unsure if they have a house or jobs to go home to. I had a flight booked to spend one of my first Christmas' at home since 2013. My mom and I have an art and fashion business together and we have undoubtedly lost the majority of our designs, fabrics, patterns and equipment.
These past few days have been incredibly heartbreaking and devastating for my entire community. The most important thing is we are safe and together but we need some extra help at this time. These funds will help us with travel, housing, clothing, and food expenses.
