Aloha! My name is Kahea Kalili. My brother Jason, a single father with 3 beautiful boys, lost his home in Paradise, California on Thursday Nov. 8th to the current Northern CA wildfire. They literally lost everything but the clothes they were wearing when they left for work & school that day.
My brother Jason has been through a lot in the past 4 years. He recently went through a divorce and struggled to cope with losing his sons when they moved to Seattle, WA with their mother. When his family left, the financial burden of living in a big 4bdrm home alone was difficult. But he worked hard to keep his house so that his children would have a home to come to on their summer breaks. My nephews just absolutely LOVE being with their daddy and didn't want to go back to Seattle at the end of summer this year. Thankfully, their mom agreed that they could stay with their dad for a while and Jason immediately registered them at school and got all the supplies they needed.
For my brother Jason and my nephews, Jay (9), Jensen (6) & Josiah (4), life was swell! They were all just so happy to be together and living life to the fullest. But all of that changed on Thursday when the Camp Fire swept through their town, turning their lives upside down. We are all so grateful that they are all safe & unharmed. But they will need a lot of help to rebuild there lives after losing everything. Just the basic daily necessities like food, clothes, footwear, etc are what they need most right now. They are currently staying with relatives but will eventually need to find housing too. Please kokua if you can. Any amount will be helpful. Thank you so much for your support. Aloha!❤
