Hi everyone, I am María Fernanda. I am a young Costa Rican living in New Jersey, and today I come to you with an open heart, seeking your support.

Due to toxoplasmosis, a disease that has unfortunately damaged my eyes.

I am currently facing severe vision loss. This process has been incredibly difficult, painful, and exhausting, not only for me but for my entire family. I had to make the painful decision to pause my university studies, putting the future I have worked so hard for on temporary hold.

Today, my greatest wish is to move forward with my life and my dreams. To achieve this, I need to undergo an urgent surgery that will allow me to regain a major part of my sight. However, the procedure is very expensive.
