To those who do not know my story thank you for taking the time to check my page out it means a lot to me that you have taken the time to be here.

Around 10 years ago I had an accident whilst out on a run and injured my right ankle. For 7 years I was told it was just a bad sprain and a minor deformity and there was nothing that could be done. I spent the entire time in constant pain until I eventually saw a surgeon in Leeds who found that at the time of my accident I had in fact broken my ankle in 2 different places but this had never been picked up on I was only able to walk due to the deformity of my ankle joint.

I had a full ankle fusion in 2021 in the hope this would help with the pain and stability issues. Unfortunately this did not work as it was just too late by the time I had the surgery and a condition developed which meant I had to undergo a lower leg amputation on my right leg in June 2023.

The difficulties this has thrown at my family and I has been enormous however I will face this head on as I always do with my amazing family, my incredible wife Stephanie and amazing children Lucy and Edison by my side and be the best person I can be having two small children does not give you a day off so I believe where there is a will there is a way and I am determined to get through it.

In 2021 after nearly decade of being told I could no longer do sport I found the sport of Para Ice Hockey and joined my local side the Sheffield Steelkings. This sport and club have given me a new lease of life and made me believe I can once again do things I thought I would never do again. Being back around a team sport has really shown me just how much I missed it and how much I needed it in my life, the club pulled me out of a very dark place and made me believe in myself once again competing in and winning gold at the NEPIHL in 2022 in Dordrecht as my highlight of my career so far.

After completing my first season with my club I was asked to attend training camps with the Great Britain national side, an opportunity I could have only once dreamed of in the past. I now have the opportunity to potentially represent Team GB at the World Championships in Norway in 2024 but I will be relying on peoples generosity to get me there as para ice hockey in our nation is a self funded sport.

At a time where the cost of living is at the worse it has been in my lifetime I know I am asking a lot and I wholeheartedly appreciate anything anybody can give no matter how small it all adds up so please do not be put off donating if you think it would not be enough I promise you everything is so much appreciated and I can only promise everybody if selected I will go out there and make each and every one of you proud.

I would like to mention that for the 2023 season due to my personal struggles I have partnered up with Andy's Man Club as my personal sponsor as well as Rae Coulson Hardy who has come on board once again to support me I can not thank you all enough Rae you are truly an amazing lady and your support means the world to me. For anybody struggling please reach out for help my inbox is always open do not struggle alone.
