Hi everyone, my name is Jessica, and I’m reaching out for help for my sweet fur-child, Paprika.

Many of you know how much animals mean to me and how much I love my little fur baby. Paprika is only 5 years old and has already faced health challenges, but recently we received unexpected news — she tore her cranial cruciate ligament (CCL), which is similar to an ACL tear in humans. Right now, she’s hopping around on three legs and has been in pain, although she still manages to be her happy, loving self.

After a surgical consultation, we learned that her surgery and related costs will be over $7,000, and her surgery is scheduled for next week. As a single homeowner, I’m doing everything I can to make sure she gets the care she needs.

Paprika had surgery on her other CCL a few years ago, which I was able to cover on my own, but veterinary costs have increased significantly since then. I’m asking for help because I want to give her the opportunity to be comfortable, active, and pain-free again.
