My name is Luis, but on stage my name is Papi Torres. I'm a rapper from East Palo Alto, CA and I am raising money to fund the production of my debut album (title TBD). I am not currently signed to a label, so all production expenses are coming straight out of my pocket. With your help, I will be able to deliver a product that will showcase the full extent of my talent without financial matters as a constraint.
Here are the types of fees that go into making an album:
- beats can cost anywhere from $150 to $500
-studio time typically goes at $60-$80 an hour (it takes ~2-3 hours to finish recording a song). So that amounts to $120 - $240 per song.
-mixing and mastering costs $70 - $150 per song
-cover art ranges from $70-$150
-Other expenses include: music videos (up to $1000), styling and clothes for shows, photo shoots, and music videos, travel fees for performances, promotional interviews and marketing
When I was in 7th grade, a teacher told me I should be a poet because I had the gift of rhyme. I didn't listen to her because every teacher in high school told me that a career in tech was the key to a safe, stable, and reliable future. But as I grow older, the more I realize that my true calling is to be an artist. I love to write. I love to create. I love to use my voice to make a lasting impact on others. I feel that I am getting closer to my dreams, and with your help I can start to make my dreams a reality. Any contribution would be very much appreciated.
