"Paper UFOs" - A USC Short Film
Donation protected
Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to look at our story.
A little bit about the story- “Paper UFOs” is a short film that follows Jennie, an Asian American film student, who goes on a trip to visit her mother’s gravesite with her stoic immigrant father who lost sight of his artistic dreams. The film reconciles the career aspirations of second-generation Asian American children with the concerns for financial survival that many of their immigrant parents share. This story emphasizes the sacrifices immigrant parents had to make in order to relocate to America and raise a family.
This film is part of USC's Chinese American Student Association's annual Cultural Night. We believe that this film will help continue to raise awareness of Asian stories in film.
Any donation that comes in will support postproduction. This includes editing costs, submitting it for film festivals, and potentially getting it distributed. It will also be used to support the crew's daily needs- aka the cost of great food to keep the energy and momentum on set!
Any amount would be much appreciated! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
