Help Establish the Next Best Indie Bookstore in Northeast FL

Paper Pony Bookshoppe, started by two writers and book lovers, seeks to provide a literacy and arts haven by establishing an independent bookstore with built-in support for the arts community in the growing Wildlight area of Nassau County. With the nearest bookstore being 13 miles but 30 minutes from the Wildlight center, Wildlight and east of the I-95 Nassau County center is severely lacking in support from an independent or chain bookstore, especially one that will provide a community center to make and keep Wildlight a destination in its own right.

Paper Pony is currently operating as an indie book box, Paper Pony Shoppe, run by two book lovers and indie authors. With our diverse backgrounds and perspectives, we want to highlight the work of amazing indie authors and their beautiful books. Our marketplace is web-based, though we've expanded to local markets in our area.

The dream? To see Paper Pony grow into a well-loved, community-based brick-and-mortar bookstore. We want to see those indie authors on our bookshelves, next to the big names and all the books you can't put down. Paper Pony Bookshoppe will be safe space for literature and the arts alike, centered around building the relationship between readers and authors. If you can help our dream come true, we promise to be a place where the reader and artist can escape to.

While being fully self-funded is a lofty goal, that's where we've set the mark. Our first benchmark goal of $12,000 will go towards helping us secure a location. If we surpass this goal, our next step will be towards ordering inventory. We'll provide updates along the way.
