Ted's Thailand Medical Emergency

Donation protected
On October 3rd, 2015 Ted traveled to Phuket, Thailand for a rejuvinating vacation at a local detox resort... and to see the Big Buddha 8 days into the program he was found unresponsive in his hotel room.

Ted is a type 1 diabetic with hypertension and a thyroid disorder. He has controlled his diabetes for over 25 years, taking about 5 shots of insulin every day.

Our dad traveled to Thailand after selling his property in Boise, ID. He was looking to detoxify his body and life before starting a new journey in Washington with his two daughters - Miyles and Megan, and his son Josh.

On October 19th the cardiologist confirmed that Ted suffered a heart attack as a direct result of ketoacidosis (DKA). He has spent 5 days in ICU at Bangkok Phuket International Hospital, he has been recovering well and has now been moved to a private room in the cardiac ward. They have scheduled an angiogram for Thursday, October 22nd to determine if he will need an angioplasty.

We know our dad has touched many lives, and we are reaching out with humility to our family and friends to help contribute to his medical costs and for the travel expenses of his children
