10 years of fighting cancer.

PAPA’S GIRL
I've been papa's girl since I was a kid. I remember back then when papa hadn't arrived at home yet, I would cry and mama would give me his used white t-shirt. I could easily fall asleep when mama put his used t-shirt that has his smell next to me. Papa rarely scolds me. I'm also scared of papa being mad at me so I go through the motions to soften papa’s heart. The best thing about papa is that he is calm yet cool in every way.
Since grade school, papa used to tell me that we will go to America someday. So since then, one of my dreams was to go to America.

Through the years we’ve been through a lot of trials but my papa remained calm and was able to find solutions in all of our problems. He did it maybe because he was surrounded with good friends and families, all knowing he was a good person.

Way back 2011 a severe test came to Papa's health who was diagnosed with Stage 1 Kidney Cancer. The Doctor said that the cancer spread all over his left kidney and he needed to remove it. Less than a month later his left kidney was removed but the Doctor told him that for now you are free of Cancer But you need to follow up after a year to make sure everything is okay. I'm happy for papa, his operation was successful and many people showed love and prayed for him. But at that moment, he didn't have money to follow up the check-up for papa because the Ct-Scan fee in the Philippines is expensive, so he said when he would do that when we arrived in America. I’m so thankful that he looks healthy for the past few days.

3 years later came the chance for us to come to America. We waited 24 years before the Visa of the Family Petition to my Dad was approved.
April 1,2014 Dad and I arrived in America first! I'm so happy that my Childhood Dream of America has come true! So Blessed!!!

November 2015 after Thanksgiving, Papa was diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer from only one Kidney that the cancer had spread to his Lungs. My world seems to have collapsed. I was scared of what happened to Papa when we were in America and there were many job opportunities for him who was still unemployed. My American Dream for me and my family is slowly crumbling.

But Papa has since become ill and is physically strong and has the courage to face this test. Starting 2015 He has already undergone Chemo. I remembered his First Chemo, he made me feel his stomach and back in great pain. But he didn't say as much as possible that he endured the pain and he was able to cope with the hardships of chemo, later on Papa got used to Chemotherapy. Life goes on so I can enjoy celebrating holidays and birthdays despite his illness. His body is still strong, he loves driving me at work.

Then July 4 2017 Papa went to Emergency, he had a seizure and had a Mild Stroke because he had a blood clot in his brain and he was diagnosed with 2 big tumors in his left brain and 8 small tumors all over his brain. He had his emergency operation to remove 2 Big tumors, and 4-6 focused radiation treatments for the remaining 8 tumors. The Doctor said it is a High risk operation, it can cause possible blindness or paralysis but we still agreed to the operation. God is Good all the time that Papa recovered immediately within a month he became strong again he finished speech therapy and Physical. but his driver’s license has been revoked for his safety. Because Papa had the side effect of double vision.

2018 and 2019 we tried different kinds of treatments, a lot of Doctor errands and Hospitalization. But since the pandemic started, the big changes in Papa's health started, the spread of cancer in his brain increased, but the radiation treatment was continuous. I never heard of Papa complaining about his treatment because he wanted to fight his disease.

In 2021 he started almost 3 times a month hospitalization due to severe infection because he has complications to his gallbladder and liver. He is in and out of the hospital and having depression because no family is allowed to accompany him due to the pandemic.
But papa still wants to get better and he doesn't just lose hope and he doesn't just give up… Even his doctors give up on his case.
The Doctor advised us to send Papa to Hospice sooner or later. Because they can’t give any more treatment to my Papa, it’s not gonna work on his body.
It’s hard to decide the doctor’s Prognosis since November 2021 his life expectancy is Less than 6 months or 4 months or Maybe 2 months. But only the Lord knows everything. It's hard to tell Papa that the doctors have no visible way.

He still wants to fight for his life. He wants to be with his family. We keep trying to get chemo because the cancer on the face is coming out and Papa has lost a lot of weight. Sadly, even his chemo cost him infection, so his doctors decided to give up. Antibiotics are the only thing that prolongs his life.
So my family and I thought of an Alternative option for Papa. We found a supplement that could possibly help with his last stage Cancer.

And now in 2022 we decided to admit him as Hospice and stay home with family while taking the supplement that we found in the Philippines.
We’re still grateful Because the past years all the medical expenses and hospitalization treatments were free and covered by our insurance.

The only thing not covered is the supplement that he is taking now.
I love my Papa so much he is a Fighter and he is my Best Hero in my Life. I owe so much to him and I will always find a way to fight for his battle.

10 years Fighting until now…
Please help my Papa to prolong his life by taking the supplement that we found for Him. The good thing is even though he is very weak and tired He can still able to eat three times a day.

I am incredibly grateful to anyone who would like to help my Papa.
