Papale Family GoFundMe

Most of you know my mom, Robin Papale aka ‘Ally’s Mom’ or 'Robert's Wife'. She has always made my friends, and their families feel supported and loved. She is well known for making the best food, being kind, geneneous, and without fail decorating for every holiday. She is truly my best friend and anchor.

Unfortunately she has been battling for her health and the severity of those issues have been not only affected her physically, but financially as well. My mom is in ongoing treatment for her chronic illnesses. These conditions, Fibromyalgia, Cardiomegaly, Hypokalemia and most recently Atrial Fibrillation have depleted my parents’ savings. This has resulted in my dad having to work extra shifts and pick up side jobs just to make ends meet.

Lately we have had a few terrifying incidents of my mom becoming unresponsive. 6/20

/23 an extreme medical episode resulted in us spending several days at Longmont United. During our stay multiple tests were ran inlcuing CT scan, EEG, MRI, and more. Thankfully, they were able to get her stable and back home, but none of the tests were able to find answers.

Two weeks later 7/8/23 we found ourselves back at Longmont United and admited to ICU to moniter her most recent diagnoses Atrial Fibrillation.

While we are grateful for a path forward, the sheer cost of the amount of treatment my mom will require to establish regular and effective treatment is prohibitive. I have been joining the visits to the neurologist, cardiologist and internal medicine doctors to help in finding answers. My father needs to be there for my mom in this great time of need but and has had to cut hours out of his work week to be home with her every night. My parents are both very private people who don’t rely on others to make ends meet.

My dad has worked decades to provide for our family, but due to the nature of the U.S medical billing system, getting proper care for the love of his life has left them in financial strain. At this point we are trying to get my parents’ enough to meet their annual deductible in the amount of $10,000. Once they meet that the insurance will start covering 80%, at this point they are having to pay everything out of pocket.
