Dear friends and family, thank you so much for your continued blessings and support that you have shared throughout the past few months towards our Father Raymond Whelan.
For those of you that don't know our father was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumor. He was given two options: go without treatment and have 2-3 months life expectancy, or fight the battle; receiving chemo and radiation as treatment. Unfortunately, even with the treatment, he will only have a 9% chance of living past one year.
Pops has chosen to go through radiation and chemo and has already finished two weeks of treatment. Tomorrow he starts his third cycle of his treatment.
At this point in time we are running into some issues and Liam and I could use some financial support to properly continue caring for Papa Whelan.
Papa Whelan now needs 24hr care as he is a fall risk. Liam and I have been working diligently these past three months, caring for our father and giving him our undivided attention, but at this point we are struggling to take care of our own lives.
Care giving unfortunately doesn’t fall under the insurance coverage umbrella and as we plan for the near future we are going to need more hands on deck to help with Papa Whelan.
Thank you for you continued love and support. Our family truly appreciates the energy you have been sending us.
In loving faith,
The Whelan’s
