My dad was the kindest, gentlest, and most hard working man that I have ever known. After battling multiple organ failure, papa earned his angel wings on June 2, 2020, 4 days shy of his 50th wedding anniversary.  Papa moved to Canada from the Philipines with very little, and met my mom and fell head over heels in love. For the rest of his life, he devoted himself to unconditionally love her and all his children. Papa did all sorts of odd jobs from electrical engineering to care home director to owning his own small Philipine mart. Up until his heart surgery, papa passionately worked himself at whatever job he was doing for us. Papa underwent heart surgery 5 years ago, and his recovery was long and difficult. Two years after his heart surgery, papa's organs began shutting down and he was hospitalized. I was set to graduate from grad school that June, and we even held an impromptu graduation ceremony at the hospital for him: Graduation ceremony for papa   After that ceremony, papa made an incredible recovery, and was able to move to home hospice care. He often told me that he had three remaining missions in life: To see me graduate from school To walk me down the aisle when I got married To  hold his grandchild. We were able to accomplish the first 2, and were on the way to accomplishing the third when papa suddenly passed. Aubree was 2 days away from being able to travel and meet her Lolo.  Please consider helping my family through this difficult time for us. I have no idea how to move forward in life without him, but we want to make sure that he is given a proper burial. Papa's funeral is set for this Sunday, June 14, 2020 in Fresno. We have family that will be coming in from Canada, as well as other parts of the US.
